The Training Collar Is Safe for Dogs

Have you tried everything to get your dog to listen to you? Treat reinforcement for good behavior, specialized training classes, and a firm voice not getting through to your pet? But if all the various methods of training your dog to behave you have tried led to no apparent succes, do not despair, there is still hope. We need to get well with our dogs, even if we don’t speak each others’ language. Nowadays, both trainers and pet owners have the chance of using an electronic training device that had proven its effectivenes in the training of all breeds of dogs, all over the world, even of those well known as stubborn ones. Such a device is best known as a Training Collar.

Looking similar to any other type of collar, the special electronic training device called training collar goes around the neck of the dog you want to train. The difference is that you are given a remote control for the collar that typically has two functions. First of all, there is a warning button on the remote control. When your dog is doing something wrong, and he or she does not listen to your stop comand, you just press the warning button on the remote control, and a radio signal is transmitted to the collar that will issue a warning beep to your dog. If your dog does not listen the warning and continues its bad behaviour, you can use the second button which, when pressed, triggers the collar to deliver your dog a mild shock. Called as the negative reinforcement, this training method uses different aversive stimuli.

Most people believe the collar is an inhumane object to use when training a dog but it is no different from using a spray bottle or a swift smack on the nose. The device is neither humane nor inhumane, but its use can be. If you set the collar’s shock intensity setting to full and just sit there tapping the shock button over and over again then yes, the collar is being used for inhumane treatment. But most of the pet owners learned that after their dogs have experienced two or three shocks, the warning beep is enough to correct their bad behaviour. Even if they have not experienced the shocks during a specific bad behaviour, the dogs will give up after two or three warning beeps. And there is the positive reinforcement method, teaching you to reward your dog whenever he obeys your command.

In a short time, your dog will be trained well enough that you won’t worry about the trouble he might get into at the dog park or out in the fields. He will be able to stop chasing other dogs if you command so. The Training Collaris a better alternative than giving your dog up to a shelter when he may end up being put down.

Dogs can be humane trained using these collars. The shock just startle the dog. Try the shock on yourself when adjusting the intensity level. Tens of thousands of pet owners have been enjoying the rewards of a completely obedient dog. Why shouldn’t you?.

This type of training device is known as the Training Collar. Thousands of dog owners used collars with satisfactorily results. It is better to use a Training Collar to train a stubborn dog than to give it to a shelter.
