Will a German shepherd be able to defend me against a pit bull and win?
I have a 90 lbs German Shepherd and we walk past a yard with a vicious pit bull. Will it win a fight against the pit bull if it chooses to jump the fence and attack?
I look at studies and they discovered that pit bulls DO NOT have locked jaws. However sometimes pit bulls jaw muscle continue to contract after tranquilize along with other breeds like Belgian Malinois. Also a German shepherd has more bite force.
Not sure but I was letting my friend's german shepard in the house and it got loose from me and ran after a man walking a pit bull so they must be confident enough to do it.

Pit bulls have lock jaw, once the pit bull bites it can not release its jaw until its teeth meet, they are very strong dogs, I doubt a german Shepard would win but it might.
