I had to ask it, because I need to clean my german shepherd.
I can’t do it myself because I have a spinal cord injury.
I saw it done in Turner and Hooch and that dog looked ok afterwards, but I know that is hollywood too.
If not do you have any suggestions?
Thanks
No, I wouldn’t do that. I mean think about it, all the soap spraying from every direction is going to get in it’s eyes, ears, etc. Plus the force of the water, plus the cloth things they have that come down to scrub the car.
Turner and hooch was a movie, a comedy at that wasn’t it? Please don’t do this to your dog, you’ll probably scare him to death!
Call a groomer! Worried about money? Call a friend, family member. Pay some kid down the street $10 to do it! If you can’t bend over you probably have someone helping you out anyways, so ask them to give the dog a bath.

Sorry to hear about your injury, I hope you heal up soon.
Nope in reality a car wash’s water is too hot for a dog.
Do you have friends or family that would be willing to bathe your dog for you or someone that could take your dog to a groomer for a bath?

no some of them use hot HOT water to loosen up the dirt and grime off the cars, see if a friend can help or even a mobile groomer.

hmm. . . i dnt think is ok to wash a german shepherd in a drive thru car washer, u should take it to a pet salon.

Nope, it isn’t safe. Not to mention the people working there will yell at you. You can hire a neighborhood kid to wash the dog, or some car washes have doggy bathing days – i’ve even seen some shelters host a dog wash in parking lots!
Can you drive or have someone drive your dog to a groomer? Or can you call around and find a mobile pet groomer? They also make doggy wipes and powder baths if you think that may work.

No don’t take a pet through a drive through car washer. Take him to the groomers for a wash. Contact various groomers and compare prices. They may also cut his claws and brush his teeth for you too. Good luck.

no but you can go to a dog grooming place or ask a kid in the neiberhood if they will

No. The water pressure would be WAY too harsh for their skin. And the water would be too cold.

No, you could seriously hurt the dog. Ask friends or family members to wash him or hire a pet groomer.

You can not take your german sheppard through a car wash.Just imagine what it might do to that poor animal. If someone sees you;you can be reported to the proper authorities.
Could you call a pet groomer in your area? They offer bathing services to pets

Unfortunately that soap is made for cars not skin and very irritating and potentially poisonous
If your back makes it impossible to wash your dog, you may be able to ask a friend to bathe him, hire a neighborhood kid to do it, or if you can afford it, take him to a groomer… even a Petco or PetSmart one. The Groomers will usually just bathe them (with no clipping) for a cheaper price than actual grooming if you call around.
Actually, depending on your area, there are Grooming VANS that come to YOU and wash your dog!

ITS a movie not real life! Why dont you go though a drive through and then decide. Just wash him like a normal person or pay someone to do it! I cant believe youasked this question!

If you can drive to a car wash, you can drive to a groomer and have him bathed properly – of course you can’t safely put him through a car wash – people come back to life in movies too, do you believe that too??

In a drive thru car washer??? u will probably kill him or set him onto some aggressive shock. Take him to the vet or groomer to be cleaned.
If a car wash can shake a minimum half ton car, imagine what it could do to 100 lb shepherd. 100 lbs being very large for a GSD.
Carwash will ruin him %100. It will destroy him and personally, your grammar is too good for me to believe that you actually think you could run him through a 10 ton machine.
Personally, I think you’re bs’ing this thread, and u need to back off cuz I can see you’re not stupid.
Get a vet
