we used to have 2 …
we used to have 2 german shepherds and we only needed 1, so we gave my dad's brother one. that one turned out GREAT!except, he will go CRAZY if you left him on the leash, not mad crazy but sad crazy…ours, though, didn't

he loved me, protected me, and was my best friend….but if you messed with me in his eyes(even if you were playing around)he would screw you up! he tackled my brother and bit him till he bled for play-hitting me…so now he's with the Arizona police force T-T

Miku I also want to …
Miku I also want to say in America….american lines are more common. Sables, blacks, bi colors, dark sables are typically either East German……East German/Czech, Czech or West German. East German have bigger blocky heads than others. Many working lines can't be handled by average owners once they are older and hit maturity. American lines are not preferred for those who want to do real work. German lines are actually not as heavy either. This video is so missinformative.

sheeeve08 @ 9:21 pm

Miku this video is …
Miku this video is somewhat misinformative. There are more lines than they had shown. American lines which were in that dog show……not schutzhund like they mislead you to believe. Then German show lines, then East German working lines, West German working, and Czech working. Czech and West German are high strung and can be hard to live with unlike this video states. They are harder, higher drive, and more suited for police work. I dislike these videos because they only tell part of it

Despite what a …
Despite what a breeder would tell you, you can get a good GSD from someone who is not a breeder. Only our first one was from a breeder and only the third (a big yellow-grey ) had health problemns twice in her life and the second one was cancer with age 9 years and that's not unusual. But keep one think in mind, they are mostly quite nice but also very temperamental and have a strong hunting drive.

I love my Boston. She's got the bad knees though (although from a good lineage/breeder). Otherwise she's healthy as a beet.

One thing you never hear about Bostons is how FAST THEY CAN RUN! Even mine can keep up with the bike (usually, wants to outrun it) At the dog park, no dog can catch her :D
